Canvases, mounted on stretcher bars, sit neatly on the inside lip of these simple, stylish frames to create a "floating" effect.

Whether your canvas is a thin (3/4 inch) or thick (2+ inch) wrap, whether you're looking for a simple matte border or a gold-edged modern masterpiece, a beautiful, solid wood floater picture frame is the answer.

Please note unlike traditional frames that cover a portion of the artwork's edges, a floater frame is constructed in a way that the artwork appears to "float" within the frame, leaving a small gap between the edges of the artwork and the frame itself. This design gives the artwork a modern and minimalist look, and it can create the illusion that the artwork is suspended within the frame.

    Enter the exact width and height of your canvas artwork. Do not add any extra space to your measurements.
  2. Standard Floating Gap:
    We automatically include approximately 1/4" gap on each side to create the floating effect.
    No-gap options are not recommended, as the floating gap is essential to this frame style.
  3. Match Canvas & Frame Depth:
    Ensure your canvas thickness (depth) closely matches the floater frame depth for a proper fit and clean appearance.
  4. Measure Accurately:
    Always measure your canvas width, height, and depth precisely to avoid fit issues.
  5. Allow Proper Tolerance:
    A slight clearance ensures easy installation and prevents pressure on the canvas edges.
  6. Select Face Width & Finish:
    Narrow frames create a modern feel, while wider profiles make a bold statement. Choose a finish that complements your artwork and space.
  7. Hardware Included:
    All required mounting hardware is included for secure and easy installation.
